Our story

Hello Good People! 

I’m Mariam, the owner and creative director of A Good Design Co.

I’m originally from Sierra Leone, but was raised in Maryland. After A corporate lawyer by trade, but since launching A Good Design Co. my new normal also includes pouring into my creative side as an event designer and decorator. 

The idea for A Good Design Co. came to me, during the month Ramadan. I’ve always had a passion for event decor, but I believe that Allah (God) lead me towards this path during the holy month, when I was the most still, which makes it even more special to me. 

A Good Design Co. is my art. I obsess over every little detail. I spend hours finding the right color, the right flowers, the right text, all to make a display special.  I want people to feel good when they walk into a room and see what we’ve created. And although I stand on business, I stand on relationships and creating memorable moments more than anything.

Thank you to my family and friends for your love and support.
